LADIES NIGHT DOWNTOWN MARQUETTE 2009

This Thursday, November 19th is the annual Ladies Night in downtown Marquette.
The fun begins at 5pm and lasts until 8pm.

Stop by Art of Framing to Paint for Prizes!!!!
We'll supply you with everything (canvas, paints, brushes...) you'll need to paint.
Spend as much time as you'd like at our shop painting on a 5x7 canvas this Thursday.
~NO artistic ability or experience necessary
~~ALL participants' entries are chosen for prizes RANDOMLY.
~~~YOUR painting is your to keep (or give as a gift). Pick it up during our business hours.

Handmade Photo Album Workshop

Where: Marquette Arts and Culture Center -- Located in the lower level of Peter White Library.

Description of workshop:
In this one day class, each participant will leave with their personally made post-bound photo album that can be filled with photos and keepsakes. Students need to pick out their own decorative paper and cloth ahead of time, and lab fee covers remaining materials. Please bring tools if you have them.
Tools: Xacto knife, cutting mat, metal ruler, bone folder, scissors, pencil, PVA glue.
Registration: $18 City / $23 Non City resident
Lab Fee: $12
Ages: 15 and up. For beginner and Intermediate Bookbinders alike!!!

hard to find nita engle prints

I've found a couple of hard to find Nita Engle prints.

The first one is Daisy Bay, published in 1989.
This signed and numbered edition is 533/950.
You can view it, and purchase it unframed for $500 at Art of Framing, downtown Marquette.
It is in Mint condition. This item is SOLD 4/7/09



Wild Rose Point is the other sold out and hard to find Signed and Numbered print.
We have it right here at Art of Framing.
The edition size is 68/950 and was published in 1995.
Unframed print price $180. This item is SOLD 4/24/09
It is also in mint condition.

He died in his sleep in Chadds Ford PA surround by his family early this morning, after a brief illness.

His life may be gone but his images will live with us forever.
